was on the way home today in my dad's car and we were on the expressway when i looked out the window and suddenly, i saw a lizard on the ground, dashing frantically between the wheels of passing vehicles. a car moved and blocked my view of it and when i saw it again, it was dead. that car had rolled one of its wheels over it. it just struck me how quickly life can go out of an organism. sure, i know it can and does, but it only really hit me when i saw that lizard. like, one second it was running around thinking "must get up to the tree again" and the next, BHAM, it was no longer alive. weird that it took a lizard for me to see that. hahaha

anyway, attended my 1st tutorial classes for french and japanese today! errrr the japanese one made me feel like a primary school kid cos most of the time we were just parroting what the sensei said to practice our pronunciation. the french one was quite fun. val's in my class yay!!! finally, someone i know. i was damn sad when i went to french lecture and found out i didn't know anyone there when i expected at least a few immersion people in my class. anyway, it looks like french tut is gonna be fun! gonna enjoy conversing like we did in france again. =D

doozo onegaishimasu.

too lazy to search for the hiragana and katakana and kanji so i just put romaji. it basically says hi everyone, i am Lin (you always introduce your surname apparently), singaporean, student at NUS, 21 years old. please give me your guidance. saying NUS in japanese is such a pain cos the name is so bloody long. oh well.

ok gotta go watch hong kong drama. ya ya i'm an auntie. bye!

oh by the way, slapping a fine and sentencing a girl to 6 strokes of the cane for drinking cos it's against her religion is really too much. just my opinion. don't wanna get accused of starting an anti-anything debate. you never know who's watching or listening.
