Sleepless in San Diego

hello, it's currently 3am in the morning and i can't sleep cos my stupid roommate Ken woke Adan and i up with his snoring. i think he has a sleeping disorder known as sleep apnea, which causes him to snore REALLY loudly in the middle of the night, cos he has difficulty breathing and stuff. yes, i am a psych geek, i know. i tried going to the other room where Romita is sleeping but couldn't fall asleep so here i am. we're so going to be walking zombies tmr man.

anyway, orientation consisted of just talks but there's one whole week of events leading up to the start of classes for the exchange students so it's gonna be fun! i hope. there's going to be this bonfire thing at the beach tonight for the internationa; students and my roommates are crashing it cos there's nothing else for them to do. haha and so far i've still met only 2 of them cos the other 2 guys haven't arrived yet. they're apparently moving in this weekend. anyway, one of them is a Pakistani and the other guy is an Indian so i guess my apartment is sort of like an international house too. haha

hmmm what else? oh, there're only 4 of us from Sg on exchange now, Romita, me and 2 other guys. Romita is so mean! cos when the speaker asked people from the same country to stand up and say hello, Romita took a look at the other 2 guys and went "omg they look so nerdy, let's not talk to them." hahahahaa so we didn't. we made friends with 2 pretty Japanese girls though and the funny thing is, both of them have american accents. cos one of them is half american, half japanese and the other girl was here since she was in middle school, then went back to Japan for college and then came here for exchange. and there're so many people from China, UK and Italy! there're like 14 each from these countries. some of the Italian guys are really cute. haha

other than that, there's nothing else to do except watch movies on Adan's laptop. that guy is such a pirate man, which is good cos that means we have lots of movies. and the good thing about rooming with guys is that they can't live without tv so we're going to get cable tmr! and i'm lucky my roommates are pretty tidy guys, like they'll wash their dishes and stuff. they even wash them for me sometimes. haha

oh and i have to mention something. the other day, Ken and i went to his friend's apartment and omg it was such a typical guy apartment! the moment we walked in there was this funny smell and there were tons of dirty dishes and garbage piled around the sink. apparently, they haven't taken out the trash for months and there's like no more space in the bin so they just put the garbage around the sink. and the living room was bare except for a single lawn chair in the middle and a cardboard box acting as a table. this totally reminded me of friends when chandler and joey got their furniture stolen can! i'm so lucky my apartment came wwith furniture man cos Ken's friend had to bring his own bed over from home.

hmmmm. nothing much to say alr except it sucks that i can't fall asleep cos then i'll be so tired at the bonfire later. bleah.
