i cooked bak kut teh and Adan and Indy loved it! Ken was like, "it's alright, i'm not going to lie to you" and the guys were like "you're just so used to junk food that you don't know how to appreciate good food." and then the next day, Romita, Anne and their other roommate Pamela came over cos i sort of volunteered Adan to cook Mexican food and they wanted to eat it. Adan's Japanese friend Taka came too so we sort of had a mini dinner party. poor Adan was like "shit" and was on the phone to his mom the whole time asking her how to cook a particular dish. haha and then i gave them some of my leftover bak kut teh and they loved it too. and the Mexican dinner was great!

in the day, we went to sch to check out the locations of our classes so we don't get lost and look stupid the next day when classes start. we ended up watching this instead. it's called the Un-Olympics. it takes places annually at the start of the sch year and it's between the 6 colleges that make up UCSD. yup, UCSD is divided into 6 colleges, sort of like houses but the 6 colleges give you different choices for your electives so it's pretty cool. i'm in Thurgood Marshall college, which sucked at the un-olympics. haha

oh Imran got a 2nd hand bunk bed frame and the guys were busy fixing it up. after they were done they were like "hey, Enru, climb up to the top bunk and try it." i was like "why?" and they said "well, it's actually missing a few screws and you're the lightest so you should try it out." haha

and then the guys proceeded to clean up the house and redecorate the living room. and they called a house meeting to settle the bills and rent and stuff and they want the place to be cleaned onceevery 2 weeks and Indy is going to make a chart so we take turns to clean the place. oh and last week, when Adan tried to vacuum the place, the fuse blew or something so we didn't have electricity in our living room for lke 5 days. and we called the landlord who called the electrician. and he came, flicked a switch in some remote corner of the house and the electricity came back on. haha and cos of the power outage, we couldn't get our cable and wireless fixed, so we're only getting it tmr. haha

anyway, yesterday night we went to sch to look for parties to go to and stuff and the guys met this girl whom they met previously at a party. the girl kept trying to invite herself over to our place so they were like "ok". but the girls refused to take the bus back to our place. they kept insisting that the guys go back, get the car and drive them over. omg i was so annoyed can! like, don't come if you don't want to take the freaking bus. but Adan went back to get the car an drive them over. and then the guys were so mean, especially Adan's cousin, who's visiting. he gave them such a hard time and putting them down. i didn't join them though, i stayed in my room and did my own stuff while the guys were socializing. then Indy came in and asked me to save him from those girls cos he felt like he had to dumb himself down to talk to them. haha then after they were gone, the guys got around and bitched about them. turns out that all of them were pretty annoted with the girls and i was like "i was already annoyed with them even before they came over" plus did i mention that they were only freshmen? only 17 or 18 and they're so slutty. gosh.
and then, i convinced the guys that we should splurge once a month and go out for dinner together so tonight is the 1st night. we're going to some thai restaurant to eat thai food! too bad i'm still very full from lunch. but never mind, we're still going to have fun! bye!
