Vancouver

this was where i stayed: American Backpackers Hostel. not exactly luxurious but it's livable. and then the person told me that if i recommend my friends to stay over there i can stay there next time for free!my room, which i shared with other girls. only $10 a day!the Diner where i had my meals when i feel rich. the uncle who works there is very nice! he offered to show and drive me around and he told me he's single. haha didn't take him up on the offer though. my beef vegetable noodle soup! comfort food man.water st. in sepiain colourthe view from waterfront. contrast this pic with that taken with my old cam. major diff can!loveeeeeee my new camera!can't say i've been to Canada till i've bought a maple product so i bought a maple lollipop!and guess what i stumbled upon. does Tom Cruise worship here by any chance?LJ and some of the exchange students in UBC decided to go to this place called Granville island and invited me alongthis is a rose garden on UBC campus. gorgeous!and then, LJ and i were bored and we found out her hall is beside a beach so we decided to go check it out. and we didn't know that it was a nude beach till we got there and saw all the naked old men. yes, no gorgeous young bodies in the nude, unfortunately. and we didn't see this sign till we were on the way back. haha

and i tell you, it was a long way down to the beach
a long long way
and then some until finally
we were rewarded for our efforts with the amazing view. scenery, not naked old men. and this woman was selling sarongs there, as you can see and yes, she was nude as well.

beautiful, isn't it?

me and all my barang. i felt so ridiculous wearing my coat on the beach when i saw people naked there but it was cold!
and the torturous way back up.

went back to LJ's room and decided to reward myself with the huge cookie i bought for lunch!

that concludes my second installment of my Vancouver trip. remember to catch my third and last installment, it promises of amazing views of this place called Stanley park. took me 1 hour to walk there from where i lived cos i was too cheap to take the bus but i had gorgeous views along the way so i didn't mind.
and now i'm in San Diego already! i'm staying in this Condo with 4 other people and 3 of my roommates have their own cars! looking forward to being driven around. haha
oh and i'm toying with the idea of getting my driving license here and then converting it when i'm back in sg cos it's sooo much cheaper here. you don't need to sign up for lessons, just learn it yourself and when you're ready, just sign up for the test. oh and my roommate's dad is a driving instructor. haha
see ya!
