i've been stuck on travel and living the whole day while doing work. at least i did some work la though i still have lots to do. 4 tests and 2 presentations after recess week! my friend helped me to collect my bio psych term paper today and she said i got 9/10 for it! the marking system quite weird huh. out of ten when it's supposed to take up 20% of the final grade. i was so afraid i got it all wrong and wrote too little and focused too much on the prefrontal cortex la. but i'm not complaining! and the bio tutor said that the qns we're gonna ask for out presentation are all good and interesting! i'm actually looking forward to the presentation la, which is very very unusual cos i've always hated them.

in case you're curious, we're going to ask these qns:

1. Why do people experience phantom limbs and why can sensations from phantom limbs be mapped onto another part of the body?

2. Why doesn't olfactory information get relayed by the thalamus but go directly to the cerebral cortex instead?

3. Present theories on colour vision do not completely explain our perception of colour. How do you think the existing theories on colour vision can be combined to give a more complete explanation?

4a. Some people lack a sense of musical aesthetics. Explain why and how.
b. Why are people unable to hear high frequency sounds as they age?

5. Why do submarines and control towers use red lights as signals at night? (past year question)

6. Why are people with visual agnosia unable to name objects but are still able to manipulate them correctly?

very interesting right??!! i think they're damn interesting la. now, to do research on them....

then there's presentation on bipolar disorder. hmmm i don't wanna just do a boring slide presentation leh. i wanna get my full participation points! should go look for videos of ppl exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder. quite looking forward to that too actually.

and then there are the tests! at least sci of music is mcq and open book so shouldn't be that bad. stats 2 is open book too. abnormal is mcq. i think the only worrying one is french. there's another oral test during tut the same week! oh i got 40/50 for my 1st french test! not as bad as i thought i'll do but i made SO many careless mistakes! like i know the ans to so many qns but i got the spelling wrong! bleah.

i guess blogging is really therapeutic. i was quite down when i started but now i'm ok alr. maybe cos it made me focus on my work instead of other stuff. so boring right? work is the only thing i blog about.

after yesterday, i realised that i am SO out of the loop! i have no idea what's happening to all my friends and i'm always the last to get news! been living in my own world all this while i guess. but it's good cos it shows i'm not a gossip but then again it just shows that nobody is close enough to tell me stuff. oh well. ignorance is bliss sometimes. i think that really applies to what's showing on travel and living. i must stop watching!!!!!!
